Mental Health Services in Southern Maryland

Outpatient Mental Health Services

We provide outpatient mental health services for children, adolescents, and adults in Southern Maryland, including Charles, Calvert, St. Mary's, and Prince George's counties. Services are available in our Waldorf office, via telehealth, and in community settings including homes, schools, and transitional housing. There is no waitlist for therapy or medication management.

Services We Provide

Individual Therapy. One-on-one counseling with a licensed clinician in a confidential, supportive environment. Treatment is tailored to each client’s specific goals and diagnosis.

Family Therapy. Family therapy is available as part of an active individual treatment plan. Insurance requires that one family member be the identified patient with a documented mental health diagnosis, and that family sessions directly support that individual's treatment. Family therapy is not a standalone billable service under medical insurance.

Group Therapy. Facilitated by licensed clinicians, group therapy sessions are currently provided in school settings. Topics may include anger management, shame resilience, coping skills, and more.

Psychiatric Evaluation & Medication Management. Our board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner conducts comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and manages psychotropic medications for clients who require that level of support.

Insurance Accepted

We accept Maryland Medicaid for clients of all ages. Maryland Medicaid HealthChoice includes: Aetna Better Health, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield Community Plan, Community Health Plan Maryland, Jai Medical Systems, Kaiser Permanente, Maryland Physicians Care, MedStar Family Choice, Priority Partners, University of Maryland Health Partners, and WellPoint Maryland.

Adults age 18 and older may also use CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield or  UnitedHealthcare Healthcare commercial insurance. Clients who are uninsured and actively applying for Maryland Medicaid are welcome. Our staff will assist with the application process.
